Because some are asking... "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" is a carve out for ambassadors, tribal nations outside of US jurisdiction and invading armies. It decidedly does not apply to children of foreign-born parents (4/2)
That this SCOTUS used it to justify striking affirmative action bc it discriminated against WHITE people and now thinks their might be a colorable argument about the birthright part shows only that they are confused about whether the good team won the Civil War. (2/2)
The 14th Amendment says that all people born in America, regardless of race are citizens and have a right to equal protection under the law. For SCOTUS to be remotely confused on that text speaks to their racism, not the Constitution (1/2)
Was enjoyable to flush the white trash out today to block and remove them at least on this site. I didn't celebrate the 4th this year because I personally feel we're not the home of the free. We lose constitutional rights daily. If you're a bigot please unfollow me. Peace out
@MLBNow Until Monfort sells the team, there's no reason to expect any meaningful change. And as long as the fans are gullible enough to keep showing up, he is quite content to make his money off an inferior product. Monfort will always be the albatross around the franchise's neck.
@MaryKayCabot So, the GM who thought it was a good idea to squander years of draft capital for the awful Watson thinks they don't need a quarterback now.
That fits.
@FirstTake@stephenasmith Ahem.
This guy existed.
The owner so awful that the NBA put in a rule to stop his franchise-ruining trades (the Stepien Rule).
Something I’d love, love, love to see happen: Every Big East coach — and maybe even every college basketball coach period — needs to bring out the loudest sweater they own and wear it on the sidelines for their next game in honor of the great Lou Carnesecca.
@247Huskers But not surprised.
This is the level of mediocrity Rhule operates at, the leve of Frost and Riley.
Under his proud watch, the team valiantly hung on to preserve its chances for an eighth-straight losing season.
This is who he is.
Trump is dismantling the department of education for 4 reasons:
1. Uneducated people vote for republicans
2. To allow red states to white wash history
3. To funnel tax dollars into private for-profit Christian schools that promote the patriarchy
4. Project 2025 said to do it
@NoaDalzell Lynx were up by 12 with three minutes to go in the first half with 11 assists on 15-of-30 shooting.
The 28 minutes after? They shot 28 percent with more turnovers (13) than field goals (11)
If it was "stolen" from them, they opened the door wide open for it to happen.
“If you base what the post game reaction on Matt Rhule’s post game comments, I don’t think he has an explanation.
He had no answers. He said I have to go back and look at what exactly happened.
He went in thinking his team is prepared and was going to play well.
Clearly they didn’t do either of those.
This was a mismatch in every facet and the very phase. From head coach on down to the last player who saw the field in this game.
I know Indiana is really good…but the gap shouldn’t be what it was today. For a Nebraska team that has as much talent, at least on paper that we assume that it has, it shouldn’t be a 49-point deficit.”

The @nytimes has a live blog about Trump’s speech in Latrobe but it doesn’t even mention him talking about Arnold Palmer’s dick. Can you imagine the coverage if Biden said shit like that? It’s hard to avoid the conclusion that the NYT is actively working to help Trump.
