ICYMI - Glorious flooding of the Yolo Bypass on the Fremont Weir is happening as we tweet. I'm watching the Sacramento river stage with bated breath to see if the operable Sacramento Weir will be opened soon too.

Fremont Weir is flowing and forecasted to flow for the next five days, as it is designed to do. Weirs are designed to help manage #flood. These weirs are passive systems & move water when it reaches a specific height into flood bypass to relieve pressure on mainstem levees.
