Why be this pressed about it. Without any voiced text in these games, you and your friends just said it the way you thought it should be said. If it mattered that much they would have made a point of it 30 years ago.
If you pronounce the name of a Pokemon incorrectly and then get told what its supposed to be
Why would you not then start pronouncing it correctly
Why be stubborn
@MoxieBoosted Thank you for being so open about it, that sounds exhausting and stressful which probably doesn't help. Been dealing with health anxiety for a while on my end too so you have my sympathies. Hope you get to the bottom of it someday man. Rooting for you.
This list gives off vibes that it was made by someone who bullied people for still liking Pokemon after 2003, but was also using 4 phones simultaneously to play Pokemon GO when it came out.
I would rather a game have unique and characteristic art direction than be photo-real in 100% of instances. Technological limitations make better games.
@jammyfreezerpop Taking that mentality to my games backlog to play stuff I normally wouldn't. Plus Pokemon Champions and actually competing consistently now that it's so easy.
One discussion point is how to localize battle cries. In JP, a character will use Flowing Slash and yell “Flowing Slash!” as if they were a Pokemon saying their name. I much prefer avoiding the ability name and having the character say something that matches the moment.
I have been standing outside the Nintendo eShop with a fistfull of money waiting for Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald to be added to the listings for close to a decade. Still they refuse.
