@StevenCurtis@KLOVERadio Yep, I remember singing my heart out to this song in your concert at Messiah College 32 years ago. I’ve been in ministry ever since!
@waltermasterson So…if your neighbor were abusing his kids, you would either adopt them or not care at all??
And…if protestors DID adopt, you’d be ok with their protest then?
And…what exactly would they be adopting?
Your logic is underwhelming
@MikeWingerii Great point. Our church small group discussion guide asks TEXT questions first, THEN we shift to application questions. Over time this has had an impact on our church, helping them seek to understands what it *means*…before asking what it *means to me*
@TerriGreenUSA You misquoted him in your retweet (I am not sure if that was intentional or not). The actual words he said in this particular clip did not elevate race over gospel at all. He elevates Jesus as King over all, and advocates for racial unity. How is that nonsense?
Just weeks ago, the pastor of Covenant Presbyterian (and father of one of the children killed yesterday) preached on Jesus as Death’s Conqueror, even as He wept before the tomb of Lazarus.
Pray for this family and for this church. God, be near.
It's not difficult to distinguish between D&C for missed miscarriage vs for elective abortion. It's like distinguishing between cremation vs setting a live person on fire. "It's the same process" - yes, you've named a similarity. Now can you spot any differences?
@dankeaton Examples: “You didn’t want us to be without You” instead of “You didn’t want Heaven without us”.
Or “the earth shall soon be made anew; the Lord, His glory shine” instead of “the earth shall soon dissolve like snow, the sun forbear to shine”. Both changes to align biblically
@dankeaton It’s a good question…in general we “shy” away 🤓 and look for a better song. In a rare case leave that part out (if it works). On one or two occasions customize the lyric to use the song. If I do that I’ll be ready to explain why when people notice.
@dankeaton I know!! I’ve said occasionally:
“Y’know, I’d encourage you to look for how God is at work here, and consider why He might have led you here…and refrain from being in evaluation mode at this point. That’s more a role for the leadership and membership of the church.”
Listen and learn something from one of the only R members of the Senate who dares talk this soberly and candidly about the big challenges we face. Not a single ounce of partisan hackery or performance here. This is what competence sounds like.
A Chinese zoo had a ceremony to transition from the "Year of the Tiger" to the "Year of the Rabbit" and the results were ... not shocking https://t.co/rDtJeB19om
Can we try to step back from partisan politics for a second, and admit the insanity of not providing medical care for an infant that is dying in front of you?!
Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy.
"Nearly every House Democrat on Wednesday voted against legislation that would require immediate medical attention for babies who are born alive after an attempt was made to abort them."
