@goodalexander I think major driver of gold this week was the tacit admission that treasury market is illiquid and on the edge of collapse. What sovereign would want treasuries? Only other angloid cucks.
@Ross__Hendricks The US cannot literally not afford to shrink the economy. Thus only way out is to bring new supply online. How do you want to bring inflation down?
Chances are increasing by the day that Team Trump's Israel First war on Iran unleashes the greatest super finance storm ever seen. With little intelligence, gaping corruption, and no more cushion a la 2008, all the horrific pieces appear to be falling into place. Brace.
@BlackScholesMan Do you want a real economy or a financialized fictional one? Tightening rates whenever the price of real goods rises gives you the latter. That’s what the Fed since volker has been doing. That’s why the US economy is what it is.
@BlackScholesMan Burns didn’t fuck up. He let it run. Commodities ripped and there was huge investment in production. That and China are the real story on why we had a disinflationary boom for the next 40 years. Everyone drinks the volker cool aid. It’s dumb.
@tekniq91 Man we really need an economy that produces physical goods! We need a shipbuilding industry and mining ect ect… but as soon as the prices of real goods rise we should choke demand and make financing more expensive. It’s crazy.
@tekniq91 The idea that you kill demand and the investment cycle as soon as prices rise is dumb unless you want a financialized bullshit economy. Which unsurprisingly, given Fed orthodoxy since the 70’s, is what we have.
