I find it interesting how the in-person conference mode is drilled into our minds. What is sometimes hard to explain is that the CfH concept mitigated many problems of an in-person setting.
Let me try to explain:

@HiroNishikawa One possibility way to deal with this is by using combinations of integral quanitities (like clift, cdrag, avg turbulent kinetic energy, mean vorticity, etc) to check if they change with the iterations. If they are all within a small error bound, convergence is likely reached.
@HiroNishikawa This is an important aspect, especially in codes for chemically reacting flows where some variable limiting is necessary for stabilization. Not all residuals then drop at the same rate.

They are not just beautiful but correct one big issue of scatterplots.

#Maker#makerspace#followerpower
One of the greatest unsolved problems in #Physics: "The beauty of Turbulent Convection": a 2020 winner of the Gallery of Fluid Motion entry by Godbersen et al (https://t.co/Tow3yogiD9) at the German Aerospace Center (@DLR_de@DLR_en). #FluidDynamics#Turbulence#MondayMotivation
