Examples of Catholic traditions, rituals, and beliefs that are literally not in the Bible or contradict the Bible: salvation by faith and works (this tragically leads to Hell), purgatory, the rosary, worshiping Mary (even though many say it's "venerating", in practice it's worship), church tradition after the canon's closing being equal in authority and truth to the Bible itself, bowing down and worshiping idols, the necessity of confessing sins to priests, priests having a distinct relationship to God that regular Catholics don't have, salvation only coming through the Catholic church (yes, this too is Catholic dogma), and so, so, so much more.

I will always make posts like this because my heart is grieved by how many of my friends reading this are deceived by the lies of the Roman Catholic Church in hopes that even one soul can realize this and be freed from this works-based, man-made religion.

A lot of conservative voices have already joined the chorus calling for Snuggles to be released to his family after ten months (yes, TEN) in a kennel, but the truth is, I don't think we can do this without the left.

Tucson is not the Shenandoah Valley. Conservative media was enough to put sufficient pressure on the county here to save Lucy. It is not enough to move the government in Pima County to do the right thing.

Liberal friends, we need you. We need your media to shine a light on what is happening in Tucson.

We need your "Good Trouble".

Join us. Let's show the country that there are still some things that unite us all as Americans. That there are some things that we will all fight for together. Because there are.

Issues like this are not right vs left. They are special interests vs the people and our dogs.

Many think Catholicism is the ancient church. The apostles would never do or allow this sort of idolatrous behavior. Never.

The issue with claims to originality and an unchanged tradition within either Catholicism or Orhodoxy is that they are full of changed traditions and practices. They just try to pretend these things go back to the apostles when they don’t. It’s very much the same as the Pharisees of Jesus’ day. The Pharisees had a host of traditions and practices that at times conflicted with Scripture. So, to buffer against complaints they just said that an unwritten “oral tradition” connected all their teachings to Mount Sinai. It was just unwritten tradition and if you wanted real ancient Judaism you had to follow their lead. Jesus blew that out of the water! They were just inheriting slowly developed traditions of man and calling them ancient and authoritative. Jesus appealed to Scripture to trump them.

This Protestant will remain Protestant.
