The Toronto Blue Jays are in a playoff spot and 1 game below .500 with essentially an entire rotation on the IL, Addison Barger only having 22 ABs, their All Star Catcher out for 6+ weeks, and a player who openly played with vertigo for 3 weeks 😭😭
This is a good baseball team.
@uday_devops The metric problem is real, but the alert layer on top is where it really falls apart. Teams get notified on CPU but stay blind until users are screaming.
@vxanand@clay A lot of GTM pain is really tribal knowledge at scale. This is a clever way to turn best practices into something repeatable, inspectable, and durable.
Fascinating piece from @jack & @roelof: AI isn't just a productivity tool. It can replace what corporate hierarchy actually does (routing information). Block is rebuilding around an "intelligence layer" instead of management layers. Two thousand years of org design, disrupted.https://t.co/9oddRLzbXu
Big move from Anthropic today: Project Glasswing.
A frontier model too dangerous to release publicly, handed to a coalition including AWS, Apple, Google, Microsoft, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto and JPMC to find and patch zero-days in critical software before adversaries do.
Frontier models have crossed a threshold where finding novel vulnerabilities in mature codebases is now cheaper for the model than for the humans who wrote the code.

The loyalty to this team is unmatched. People pay exorbitant prices to watch them, buy their merchandise, and cheer for them despite all the Game 7 losses. We know they’re not making the playoffs this year. The season is almost over, and the losses are piling up. The one thing you expect to see is pride—someone sticking up for their captain when he’s left lying on the ice after an egregious dirty hit. It’s absolutely disgraceful that nobody did.
Nick Foligno went after Corey Perry in Game 1 of the 2021 playoffs after the Tavares hit and told Perry, “I don’t care, my captain is lying on the ice.” Kadri would step in for a teammate no matter “how it looked” if he saw they were hurt in a split second. We can go back to Colton Orr, Matt Martin, Fraser McLaren, Wade Belak, Tie Domi, Shane Corson, Darcy Tucker, Wendel Clark... What happened? We have lost the dawg DNA, and if this team is serious about winning, it needs to get it back—and fast.
@puckmarks I know how dark the Harold Ballard era was for this team, but to bring in fresh thinking we need new ownership: a singular owner with a sharp mind who knows how to build winners consistently—not bankers, not pension plans, not media conglomerates.
Citadel Securities published this graph showing a strange phenomenon.
Job postings for software engineers are actually seeing a massive spike.
Classic example of the Jevons paradox. When AI makes coding cheaper, companies actually may need a lot more software engineers, not fewer.
When software is cheaper to build, companies naturally want to build a lot more of it. Businesses are now putting software into industries and tools where it was simply too expensive before.

Been in enough enterprise AI deals to know the pilot is never the hard part. The hard part is when someone asks "can we run this against real data" and everyone goes quiet. Only 5% of companies are actually scaling AI. The bottleneck isn't models, it's data readiness.

Platform engineering used to mean maintaining platforms like Ansible, Rundeck, Jenkins — permissions and automations across dozens of tools.
Now it's curating a marketplace of purpose-built AI agents. Same discipline, entirely new surface area... more disruption. #Claude

Third period about to begin
1-1
Incredible atmosphere...fans in building energized beyond belief...so tense.
What we all sign up for. Enjoy the third -- if you can
Am told the chances Crosby plays in the Gold medal game are in the 70% range. Seeing how he responds to his skate today and figuring out what his limitations might be are all part of the process tonight and tomorrow.
