Statement by Lawyer Ghida Qasim – Regarding Prisoner Dr. Hussam (from Ofer Prison)

- Place of Detention - He is confined in Cell No. (5) – Section (24) – Ofer Prison.

Health Status:
- His health condition is very poor, and he suffers from heart problems.
- He shows signs of severe fatigue and physical exhaustion.
- The prison administration practices duality between allowing medical examinations and continuing assaults on him.

- 14/10/2025: He was subjected to a brutal raid by a special unit, which assaulted him with severe beatings, leading to injuries in the thigh, right hand, and eye.

- 27/09/2025: He was subjected to an assault upon his return from a lawyer's visit at the "Physicians for Human Rights" institution.

Last Visit (15/10/2025):

- It lasted only 15 minutes amid strict surveillance and security alert.
- Dr. Hussam was unaware that his court session would be held the day after the visit.
- His family requested not to disclose details of the visit in hope of his imminent release.
- His detention is arbitrary and political, used as a bargaining chip and leverage.
