Let’s talk about Black physicians (5% of all physicians). We have statistically lower MCAT and Step scores. However, Black physicians taking care of Black patients decreases mortality. If we let less Black applicants into medical school, more patients will die.

A miscarriage is an abortion. A spontaneous one. An abortion can happen multiple ways. Your body either aborts the baby itself (for different reasons), the abortion is induced with medications, or can be aborted through surgery to end the pregnancy.

The whole premise of working hard in your 20s so can live comfortably in your 30s is not realistic for (some) people in medicine. Getting into and through medical school consumed my 20s. In my 30s, I will be working 80+ hrs/week making $14/hr for 4-6 years as my debt accumulates
