My family, friends, and colleagues have always known me as a very optimistic and level-headed person
In the hardest times, my sister turns to me for reassurance
Today I saw what the lack of missiles for Patriot systems looks like
Dozens of Kyiv residents were killed in their own homes
Five streets in the Kyiv suburb of Vyshneve were destroyed
For the first time in four years, I clearly realized that I may not live to see the end of this war
Meanwhile, those who were supposed to be our allies are simply turning away from us
They cling to grievances from the past, even though the past is far from black and white
They don't care that we Ukrainians may simply have no future
I expect nothing good from putin and his followers
But it turns out that even our closest allies are not willing to share what could save us
I am not panicking, and I am not in despair
putin will never get that from me
I simply understand that my chances of surviving this war are much smaller than I believed before
Do you remember when you joined twitter? SADLY, I do. It's gone from barely bearable to an obnoxious, lying, propagandistic, racist, homophobic, misogynistic, &c. cringey bot and troll site #MyTwitterAnniversary#NothingToBeProudOf
Every allegiance has a cost.
There is a price tag to irrational fidelity.
Passionate devotion to something always comes at the neglect of something else, or sometimes even its total disregard.
Exactly 13 years after the horrors of Sandy Hook Elementary, Conservative Americaβs abnormal adoration of guns continues to kill our children.
