@ZackPolanski Extreme hot weather has not increased. The United States has the best records, but anytime I look at frequency of exceeding extreme thresholds, I don’t find an increase.

Some basic scientific facts for you.

CO2 is 0.04% of our atmosphere.

Mankind's entire CO2 emissions are just 3% of that (0.0012%).

The UK's entire CO2 emissions are just 1% of that (0.0000012%).

CO2 is harmless plant food, not the planet's climate control knob.

Some areas of Europe have been warmer than average, while other areas of Europe have been colder than average. Yet CO2 levels are largely the same. It is does not take a "climate scientist" to determine that the same CO2 levels can't be causing both warming & cooling at the same time!

The Met Office says Kenley Airfield just broke the record for the highest May overnight temperature. 🌡️

But guess when the previous record was set? 1944.

Think about it:
1944: Global CO2 was ~310 ppm.
2026: CO2 is much higher, yet we barely beat an 82-year-old record.

This isn’t a CO2 crisis... it’s the Urban Heat Island effect!

In 1944, Kenley was a rural airfield. Today, it’s surrounded by the massive concrete and asphalt sprawl of Greater London, which traps daytime heat and radiates it at night.

It’s urbanization, not global warming.

The UK just “smashed” its May temperature record… but here’s the part the Met Office conveniently leaves out:
The PREVIOUS record was set in 1922.

That’s 104 years ago.

Long before SUVs, private jets, or modern CO₂ emissions. Heathrow Airport didn’t even exist yet. The area was literally farmland and small villages.

So if a 1922 heatwave could produce nearly identical temperatures in a world with ~130 ppm less CO₂, maybe, just maybe, natural variability plays a much bigger role than the panic merchants admit.
