The Senator The Boda & UNESCO
The clock was ticking. Paris was gridlocked. UNESCO was waiting.
Sen. Ledama Olekina had one question: “Can I get a BODA?”
No motorcade. No fuss. Just mission.
Lesson, when the road won’t move, change route

Kenya strongly protests the decision by Israel to include the country amongst those whose travellers it will restrict. This is esp unfortunate given Kenya’s support to regional surveillance & response to Ebola. With over 80,000 tests, no case of Ebola has been reported in Kenya.

Curbing religious extremism calls for a balanced approach that safeguards freedom of worship while protecting society from radical exploitation.
We are working with religious leaders to strengthen self-regulation within faith communities, while a proposed Religious Organizations Bill will vet and register institutions and their leaders to ensure accountability and credibility.
At the same time, we are prioritizing support for vulnerable groups and creating pathways for victims of extremism to heal, rebuild and reintegrate into society with dignity.
The ongoing construction of the Kisumu Air Traffic Control Tower, launched in September 2023, is advancing and taking shape as a landmark project that will redefine aviation management in Western Kenya.
Spearheaded by the @CAA_Kenya (KCAA), the tower has been designed to meet international standards, with its elevated position within the airport providing controllers a wide, uninterrupted field of vision.
On the ground, construction works are progressing well. Current activities include tiling of the main staircases and launch areas on the 7th and 8th floors, glazing of the same levels and preparations for the atrium roof trusses.
Interior finishes such as painting and electrical fittings are also underway, marking the project's transition into advanced stages.
With Kisumu International Airport already recognized as a Class 3 facility, the addition of this state-of-the-art tower will cement its role as a premier aviation hub for Kenya and the wider Lake Region, serving Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and beyond.
Samburu Moran in traditional ceremonial attire. The intricate beadwork, red ochre, and striking headdress signify his status as a young warrior in the Kalepo Samburu land.
Hosted by H.E. President @WilliamsRuto at State House, with other leaders, we joined thousands of Nairobi residents for the Nairobi County Empowerment Programme.
This initiative, themed, "Every Hustle Matters," is part of the Government's nationwide interventions under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), designed to expand economic opportunities, enhance skills and uplift livelihoods across the country.
