Joy + Care = Healing 💙 Healthcare with dignity! With @UNICEFKenya support through the DICE project, Garissa Dept. of Health has set up play areas in 6 health facilities creating child friendly spaces that give children safe, nurturing care.
Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) against women worldwide is a major public health and inequality concern. It's not clear what causes IPV, or how to reduce it. Gaby Deschamps' JMP notes that IPV is positively correlated with motherhood, and asks if we can understand why.
These kinds of charts are inherently bogus and promote a dangerous and overconfident cookbook attitude to statistical analysis. But this one is particularly wrong, for example in confusing regression analysis with testing.

@ianwalker Great research! Am I right in understanding that you randomised the pressure of the shower head for this finding? I would argue that these might not be the best generalisable set of metrics to use since efficient shower heads can achieve high pressure with less water.
I forgot how cool this paper is. When elite civil servants in Pakistan were randomized into a training course on econometrics, they were twice as likely to support actual policies with RCT evidence a year later and were more likely to pay for such research https://t.co/etxMZoZt6E
As anti-semitism in the Labour Party is back in the news, re-sharing research by @KashRamli and I showing implicit bias against both Jewish and Muslim constituents by both Labour and Conservative local politicians
