发表过诗作，写过短篇小说。

努尔麦麦提.亚森于2004年在《喀什噶尔》杂志第五期发表了一篇震撼人心的散文寓言故事《野鸽子》。

《野鸽子》故事，借一只被抓捕后失去自由而被关进了笼子；然，因其野性未失，一直试图挣脱笼子之束缚，重返大自然自由飞翔野鸽子之口；讲述野鸽子和一只习惯于安逸的笼子生活家养鸽子之间的对话；故事以野鸽子最终因无法逃脱笼子束缚选择不吃不喝而死之悲剧结束。

可以说，《野鸽子》小说，曾使《喀什噶尔》杂志一时洛阳纸贵，轰动维吾尔文学界；当然，这也会让很多人嫉妒且惴惴不安；同时，也让喀什噶尔殖民当局如鲠在喉。

努尔麦麦提.亚森在《野鸽子》发表几个月后，于2004年的11月29日被抓捕，后被指控涉嫌分裂活动而于2005年2月在喀什噶尔巴楚县法院审判后，被判处十年徒刑。
