Yesterday night, I was so tired around 12 midnight that I wanted to skip prayers. I have a routine of always praying at 12 midnight.

But then I remembered the words of Apst. Arome Osayi said prayer becomes a sacrifice when it is inconvenient to do.

Guess what? I stood my ground against fatigue, sleep, and weakness. I prayed sufficiently. I am sharing this just to highlight what this man represents to me.

He has become a reference to me in virtually all aspects of my life, especially ministry.

When I was inches close to sexual immorality, it was his words that the holy ghost kept blasting in my mind:

"When the fear of God leaves your body, you will start touching a woman's breast."

Those words saved my life. When I was thinking of recording sermons to upload on a popular sermons download platform because I knew the guy, it was his counsel against seeking fame or reach in ministry that corrected me.

I remembered him saying, "Stay in Sabo." "Let God announce you."

It was his strict adherence to righteousness that made me vow and develop the mantra that, "My lips do not lie." Of course, I am an honest person, but making it a vow was a result of listening to him.

It was his helpless dependence on God that made me learn more profoundly the way of being insufficient before God.

It was his numerous battles against terrible spirits that helped me to learn the way of fearless spiritual warfare.

I could go on and on and on. But the summary is I found a preacher that I can follow as He follows Christ. I found a man who went through fire and death to become a true servant of God.

I did. And forever I will be grateful to God for that. Finally, is the preacher you listen to the most getting you closer to God?

I pray God helps you and lead you to such. May God help us all. Amen.

A fan of the Chicago Bulls successfully made a remarkable shot during a 1993 game, winning a million-dollar prize. This shot, nicknamed "The Calhoun Shot" or "The Immaculate Connection," occurred when spectator Don Calhoun made a 75-foot shot from the free-throw line at the opposite end of the court during a timeout in the third quarter of a Chicago Bulls vs. Miami Heat game on April 14, 1993.

The shot was part of a promotional campaign offering a million-dollar reward to any fan who could achieve this feat. However, an insurance company named American Hole 'N One Inc initially invalidated the payment, citing a technicality due to Calhoun's past involvement in college basketball, which violated the contest rules.

Despite this setback, both fan and player uproar ensued over the non-payment to Calhoun. Eventually, the sponsors of the promotion, including Coca-Cola and the Bulls, decided to honor the payment. As a result, Calhoun received $50,000 annually for the next two decades, totaling the promised million-dollar prize.

Interestingly, Calhoun mentioned that Michael Jordan later remarked, "we made them pay it," referring to the collective effort that led to the sponsors fulfilling the payment.

15 years in, and I am in love like it’s day one!

By mercy, I have seen angels and an assortment of creatures of heavenly provenance. With curious crafting that effuses otherworldly degrees of glory, they blaze, dazzle, stun and render the vocal cords impotent. I see the roaring constellations at night, the wonderment of God’s creative splendour and might generously spread throughout creation.

I see people of different colours and tongues as I run the Lord’s errand from nation to nation. I have seen the beautiful denizen of East Africa, the grandeur of the centuries-old European cities, the breathtaking craftworks of francophone Africa and savoured the sonorous, mellifluous tunes from Southern Africa.

I see the beautiful womenfolk too. From the ones drawn from the hundreds of tribes within Nigeria’s shores to the cobweb tender-skinned damsels of Ethiopia; from the caucasian princesses of Europe to the lusophone beauties of South America; all bearing the strokes of Elohim’s creative genius.

Guess what?

The woman beside me in these pictures, smiling with ineffable grace, even The Omoge, surpasses them all!

Oh yes!

She is E Pluribus Unum, numero uno, my soul mate, companion in destiny, muse, cheer leader bar none, my flesh and mother of my biological children.

She is the chief manager of the home front. Her vessel has been so thoroughly tempered by the Lord that she supplies constant marital peace and bliss to me. She is the reason my apostleship in the body of Christ is without bile.

I bless the Lord for bringing you into my life 20 years ago. My life has not remained the same. I love you ceaselessly,The Omoge.

The good Lord has done us well. Cheers to many more years in this covenant joy ride.
