That is a required question. I get that some agents want to come across as fun but the process is BRUTAL for writers and this doesn't help.
@emjsmith Most people can’t do it all and do it 24/7. That’s reality. The few that can without experiencing any negative consequences are an exception - not the rule as they’d like everyone to believe.
@biomance sometimes blatantly stealing faster than any human could/can. There are still some rules about copyright infringement and theft of intellectual property. If you write a song that’s very similar to someone else’s, even with different lyrics, you can be sued (and lose).
