Glad grown ups are back in charge in the UK. Hates watching climate catastrophe unfold when we’ve known about it for decades. The world needs better leaders.
AI is replacing millions while billionaires profit from wars over lithium and chips. Goldman Sachs said it could hit 300 million jobs globally. They don't need you anymore..... just your data, your blood for resources, and your silence while they build the machine god.
Joy Reid: “The most violent country in the Middle East is not Iran, it’s Israel. They’re blowing up pagers as children are nearby. They’re putting bombs in toys to blow up children. They are slaughtering children in Gaza. They’re wiping out entire ancient villages in Southern Lebanon. Which of these things is in our interest?”
Mrs Sarah Wilkinson @swilkinsonbc is a 63 year old journalist that has been documenting the Gaza genocide from early on.
The UK Govt is charging her with terrorism crimes for simply posting the news out of Gaza, in an effort to silence her.
Please RT this - thank you.
114 thousand UK citizens signed a petition calling for a enquiry in to the involvement of Israel in the UK - & a handful of MPs tried to turn the resulting Parliamentary debate into a debate on anti-Semitism.
Please RT until the Israeli occupation of the UK is ended.
Thank you
At risk of sounding arrogant, the #FOTW contains urgent info about where our climate, our world, and our society are headed, which everyone needs to hear
But it is getting very little traction😞
Please help share and promote🙂

One thing I find painful is that life could be SO EASY, like SO ÐAMN EASY. There is so much stuff rotting in storage units, in garages, nearly half of all food goes to waste, there's enough clothing for the next Six(6) generations!!! We don't even need to be working really at all, our ancestors broke down their bodies to build all this sht, the least we could do is slow down to actually utilize and fairly distribute it all. Instead, we all suffer endlessly while 8 men control half the world's wealth.
Why did Boris Johnson accept a £1m gift from the same billionaire who gave Farage £5m?
What did Nigel Farage AND Boris Johnson do for the biggest lump sums of cash ever given to British politicians?
So glad to see this trending. #HarborneReceipts
And follow @thenerve_news
Billionaires added $2.5 trillion to their wealth in 2025 alone....more than the bottom half of humanity combined, while funding wars for AI minerals. Your tax dollars buy their drones. Your kids die for server farms. This isn't capitalism, it's human sacrifice for immortals.
Britain is more than 100% self-sufficient in lamb. We grow more than we eat and export the surplus.
Sit with that, because it is rare. Roughly 85% self-sufficient in beef. Effectively 100% in milk. Around 90% in eggs. The animal food on a British plate was almost certainly born and raised here, a great deal of it on upland pasture that can grow nothing else: no wheat, no veg, just grass and the animals that turn it into food. Field to plate, the journey runs to tens of miles.
Now look at the half of the trolley you were told was the virtuous one. January strawberries from Egypt. Peppers from Spain and Morocco. Winter leaves from Israel. Green beans from Kenya. Blueberries from Peru. The beans and the berries come by air, which is roughly fifty times more carbon-heavy per kilo than the same load sent by sea, to sit in a plastic shell beside a little flag and the word "fresh."
Britain feeds itself in meat, milk and eggs off its own ground. It is the salad and the soft fruit that have to be flown in from the far side of the world.
Worth remembering which half of that plate you were taught to apologise for.
We got rid of checkout staff at supermarkets, now you do it.
Prices went up
We got rid of films, music, game discs, now you own it as long as they let you
Prices went up.
Now AI is bringing the same, terrible services, no jobs
The only thing that goes up are their profits
The rule of nature is equilibrium. The rule of modern economics is perpetual growth.
Trying to sustain infinite growth on a finite planet is like expecting a house to expand forever without running out of bricks. We need a circular economy, not a disposable one. 🌱
Erin Brockovich is now tracking more than 5,000 community concerns about AI data centers across the United States.
The renowned environmental activist has created a nationwide map that tracks AI data centers that are operating, under construction, proposed, or facing local opposition.
Reports have surged in recent weeks. On June 2, the tracker showed just over 3,000 community submissions. By June 9, that number had climbed past 5,000.
The worries are very real. Residents are raising alarms about skyrocketing electricity demand, massive water consumption, constant noise, strain on local infrastructure, electronic waste, flooding risks, and the overall burden these industrial-scale facilities place on small towns and rural areas.
Data centers serve as the physical foundation of artificial intelligence, powering everything from chatbots and image generators to cloud services and video models. But keeping the servers running 24/7 requires enormous resources.
A single large data center can consume up to 5 million gallons of water per day, equivalent to the daily water usage of a town of 10,000 to 50,000 people. They also used about 4.4% of total U.S. electricity in 2023, a figure the Department of Energy projects could rise to 6.7–12% by 2028.
This rapid growth has sparked growing local backlash. Several cities and counties have already imposed moratoriums or restrictions on new data centers to assess their impact on water supplies, power grids, and household utility bills. Seattle, for example, approved a one-year pause, with similar measures taken in parts of Kentucky, California, and Georgia.
These people are heroes. There are scenes like this all over the country. Can you imagine what Britain would look like if the army of litterpickers weren't out virtually every day trying to stem the tide of our litter epidemic and national disgrace...? They need hope, we all do.
Let’s be clear.
The fossil fuel industry made European heatwaves deadly.
The fossil fuel industry made storms, floods, droughts and heatwaves so severe that they will soon threaten our very survival.
The fossil fuel industry is collapsing our planetary life support systems.
“the idea has an obvious attraction. Rather than covering productive farmland – 17,000 acres of solar farms are planned in Norfolk alone – solar carports make use of land that is already covered by asphalt.”
Why is govt rejecting it?
