@pkpled @JxxSucculent My parents and I were chased down the street by a restaurant manager in the US because we left a $1 tip for some of the worst service we've ever had (rude, surly, wrong dishes, plates dropped on the table, etc).

When it's "mandatory" tipping, it's not an incentive.

First day at new job: got to train station 90min early so I could be relaxed, only to find out all the trains are canned due to "urgent trackwork" at the other end of the line.

Made a mad dash to a 2nd station (different line), ran from car, & just made train the train.

The amount of bars & restaurants that get totally screwed by that kick being midday instead of Friday night is ridiculous.

I explained that Mummy and Daddy both have to go to work, but that when she got home we'd do painting and watch princesses.

Hubby (proudly) wore a Heat jersey to a Celtics home game, which the Celtics lost by 2, and judging by the fans around us, I thought I'd have to add a visit to a US emergency room to our trip, but the worst he got was a "hey, f**k you" and a middle finger.

I’ve been to a million Celtics/Heat games in Miami, wearing all Celtics gear. The biggest organic rivalry in the NBA the last 15 years. True sports hatred. Big playoff games, buzzer beaters and elimination games. No one ever bothered me. Walked the streets of Miami and felt completely safe. This isn’t a sports thing. NYC is just filled with the most vile, gutter, ghetto trash. They deserve nothing but the worst
