@t1dexpat I’m a mom of 4 kids. 2 of them have type 1. I would NEVER say this to them, but I’m so grateful that the two who are dealing with it also have the resilience and personality types to handle it well. I still slip into a cold sweat at the thought of my oldest daughter being dx.

@DamienTypes I stood in my yard with my phone while the word spread and then took phone numbers for family members and made calls. I might go door to door this weekend. How is this the solution?! Why isn’t there a concerted effort to get out into the community and make this happen?

@DamienTypes I was able to make appts for all of my over 65 neighbors AND some of their relatives for Friday at our local Rite Aid. The system was impossible for them to navigate. None of them have email addresses and only half of them receive texts on their phone.
