One night, one of the NQTs who taught at my school came in and was asked for ID by one of my colleagues. He didn’t have any! I did confirm that he was definitely over 18, but he was warned to bring ID!

Why teachers leave. From FB.

We have just received an email that says that next Thursday afternoon a member of SLT are going to join our PPA session as part of monitoring on planning and preparation. This seems crazy to me! Has anyone else been ‘monitored’ during PPA?

Some thoughts on #teachercrisis. Looking at recruitment very important, but starting salary is not bad. Retention - pay is a massive factor. More bands on main scale would be good, so not capped after 6 years. Also, loan ‘forgiveness’ if you stay 2+ years in.

@ScottyGoesAgain Yep. We live on a new build estate, so council aren’t even responsible for our roads, parks etc, but still pay £200+ per month.

@VonnSand I’ve been a full time teacher for 10 years, making payments every month. I originally borrowed total of £38 198. I still owe £34 399.
