Had these race riots happened during the last few years of the Conservative government Britain would have been a far more dangerous place for people of colour.
As a @conservative my first commitment is to my country and I’m relieved a sane squad are in charge during these troubled times.
@thismorning
Dear media people. Please stop saying Adam Peaty missed out on gold. He WON silver in his 3rd consecutive olympics, after all the mental health struggles he’s had. That is an AMAZING achievement!!! Can’t we celebrate instead of making it sound like a failure? #OlympicGames
Rishi Sunak himself blamed the increase in NHS waiting list times on the junior doctors’ strikes. But the Tories refused to back down, knowing how much further damage was being caused. This carried on for over a year, with costs to cover staff generating even more expense.
Now Labour have potentially sorted this out in just 3 weeks.
Dear Democrats:
Many Americans (myself included) will be voting Democrat for the first time in our lives this November.
We’re not doing this because we agree with Democrats on policy; we’re doing it because we understand the need to stop Trump from destroying our Constitution.
If you see us non-Democrat Kamala supporters on Twitter espousing beliefs you disagree with, like on taxes or guns or whatever, try to let it go. Don’t be jerks. Don’t disparage and argue, expecting us to toe the Democrat line, because we won’t. We’re not Democrats. Being hostile to us will backfire and endanger our alliance.
We’ve made common cause with you in this election because our democracy faces an existential threat. We agree Trump is dangerous and we want to work with you to defeat him. Let’s be grateful for this mutual cooperation.
We can go back to arguing and being opponents after November. Until then, we have a country to save.
🇬🇧Dear @RachelReevesMP so here’s another ‘money saving’ idea:
You MPs are now on £91k pa.
Do YOU need to ‘claim’ for heating?
Do YOU need subsidised meals and drinks?
Do YOU need ‘mortgage relief’ etc?
If we have to do w/out our Winter fuel, how about a little solidarity?
Former Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick has become the latest MP to join the Tory leadership race, pledging to remain faithful to "Conservative principles". He's clearly in favour of lower taxes
BREAKING: Tennis legend Martina Navratilova brutally mocks Donald Trump for the pathetic "PR stunt" of wearing a cartoonishly large bandage on his ear to the RNC.
This is just too good...
"Of course—this is obviously a PR stunt—the day after the shooting he had no dressing on his ear… not even a Band-Aid," Navratilova replied to a picture of Trump on X.
The post that she was replying to was just as blunt, reading: "a good friend of mine is the charge nurse (Level IV FNP) at a major trauma center in a huge city. She says there’s absolutely no need to dress an ear wound like this, unless half his ear was blown off. And even then, it wouldn’t look like this."
MAGA is predictably enraged. What do you think?
Please retweet and ❤️ if you think that it was a cheap PR stunt — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a new pro-democracy social network that is exploding in popularity because Twitter and Facebook are trying to stop its growth — which is only making Tribel grow even faster. Despite calling Barron "Melania's son", getting JD Vance's name wrong, confusing Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi and falling asleep on camera at the Republican National Convention, the media has never made a multi-week story out of questioning Trump's cognitive abilities, energy level, or ability to do the job.
This is why so many people don't trust the media at all.
This video couldn’t sum up Gareth Southgate’s impact on England anymore if you tried🏴🦁
I worry it could become a case of you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone😬😔
@TalkCPFC 👏👏
What is the point of you @Ofcom if you don't do your job? Allowing GB News to use former politicians like Jacob Rees-Mogg as presenters is bad enough, but allowing a serving MP like Farage to talk his vile divisive rhetoric 3 times a week is absolutely unacceptable. Do your job
As a child bereaved by fatal domestic abuse, headlines calling a man who killed three women a “nice guy” and “normal person” have felt personally traumatic.
The media called my father a “gentle man” and “nice chap”, which misrepresented the controlling reality that myself and my family experienced for years. It compounded our trauma.
Reporting like this causes so much damage – both to victims’ families, and to public understandings of coercive control. It has to stop. Now.
We need every single newsroom trained in how to report domestic abuse deaths, and to lobby the regulator for stronger rules. The press has the power to prevent further deaths and save women’s lives.
Please support this crowdfunder I’ve started to support @we_level_up’s crucial work to train journalists in their Dignity For Dead Women guidelines.

Take it in. The first female chancellor. The first housing secretary who's actually lived in social housing. The first education secretary who was on free school meals. An energy secretary who actually believes in aggressively fighting climate change. Not a bad afternoon.
Based on Labour’s shadow cabinet, 84% went to comprehensive schools, 10% went to private schools and 6% to state grammar schools.
That would mean for the first time the cabinet closely reflected British society. https://t.co/CuFcvtuJ7z
Reeves tells Treasury: "I will judge my time in office a success if I know that, at the end of it, there are working-class kids from ordinary backgrounds living richer lives, their horizons expanded, and their potential realised."
Will someone please call the Prime Minister back to the Commons to correct the record as he continues to repeat this patently false statement
