@AdrianBethune I career changed the other way. 7 years teaching and I was done. The job I do now I love - a lot more responsibility, far better paid, plenty leave, paid overtime, more flexible, my time off is my own, never wk at home and never have to prepare to attend wk. Would never go back!
@MrsPTeach If i'm kept on at work my husband picks her up but same rountine applies, otherwise hungry, grouchy child and too much rushing. It's a tough one!
@MrsPTeach I no longer work in education actually, but do have a 2 year old and the days I work until 5 she is with my mum, so she has dinner there and I collect her between 5.30 and 6. Then bed at 7ish. We only eat together on my days off / at the weekend if i'm not working.
@clareyy28 Very much depends on your child. Prekids would have said unnecessary. Now, demanding 2 year old, we do let her have device time. It's limited but if I want her to have chill time or not to scream in a restaurant after a meal then ipad it is. Otherwise we would have to leave π€·ββοΈ
@DeputyPeake Emily i'm so sorry π I can't say anything to help. I followed Elle Wright on insta - feathering the empty nest - she experienced the death of a baby, followed by years of unexplained infertility & unsuccessful ivf. She now has a beautiful baby girl. May help to read her stuff x
@ianaddison My little girl was born in lockdown 1 and turned one this year, so no celebrations at all! So I completely understand πͺ No helpful words i'm afraid. And you are right - they have no idea, but we do. Take care and happy 1st birthday Henry X
This advert bothers me. The advertisers are implying that artificial plastic grass is "green" - using the term alongside "no watering required. Other than colour, it is in no way green, and it is disingenuous to suggest otherwise.
One for @ASA_UK?
About ten years ago we started grazing our land in different ways to try and benefit biodiversity on the farm. One of the many species that have unexpectedly appeared has been this bank of Bluebells, which we didnβt even know existed until they had the opportunity to grow.
