These are the 31 schools in Wisconsin still using race-based Indian mascots, logos, and nicknames.

It's so cool @taylorswift13 gave her crew bonuses. It's awesome how she helped people register to vote.

Now is it OK to ask her to stand w/ Indigenous women, mothers, parents, doctors, educators? To help us convince @Chiefs to #ChangeTheName? Instead of promoting harmful racism?

Race-based mascots are PROVEN HARMFUL.

That means that the money made at every professional or school sporting event promoting a race-based mascot is blood money.

While everyone is focused on the #racism of the @KansasCity @Chiefs in the #SuperBowl today, let's not forget the stubborn @Braves, @NHLBlackhawks, and the almost 2000 schools around the US still copping out to their maliciously irresponsible examples.

To embarrass Northern liberals and humiliate Black people, southern White Citizens Councils started their so-called "Reverse Freedom Rides," giving Black people one-way tickets to northern cities with false promises of jobs, housing, and better lives.

@NotYourMascot Let’s be blunt. It’s not just racism. They are knowingly choosing to center their entertainment over actual Native lives. That’s white supremacy.

[Not Your Mascot @NotYourMascot]

Schools with race-based athletic identities are schools that teach children hands-on #racism.

Schools refusing to lose their racist mascots in the face of NA orgs, health orgs, civic orgs advice, are fully embracing formal racism in their curriculum.

The debate over the tomahawk chop & other racist mascots in sports isn’t about whether or not they cause harm harm.

The harm is well documented.

It’s about whether or not people care.

I’m Cherokee and I care. We are not your mascot. We’re real people who are real tired of dealing with these micro/macro-aggressions. Find something else to “honor”.

Dear @Braves:

I'm sure the @CityofAtlanta is a lovely place with great people. However, you are not helping the city's image around the globe by embracing #racism.

It's past time you make a change. Sometimes that's what's truly BRAVE.
