Startups & Sustainability 🚀🌱
Founder of SeedCulture, a gamified SaaS platform that helps teams to upskill and engage their people on sustainability topics.
Excited (and not a little nervous!) to be pitching SeedCulture at the @WeDontHaveTime 'Dragonfly's Den' competition in Stockholm tonight. The competition is designed to highlight a range of innovative climate solutions, and will be livestreamed to COP27 in Egypt. 🇪🇬

4 things that I already love about Cambridge:
1. The bikes! So many cyclists and people of all ages getting from A to b on bikes. 🚲
2. The secondhand stores. I came across one street that had over 5 such stores, all packed with people! Clearly pre-love…https://t.co/nqnGCOsz4D
If you listen to one podcast about climate and sustainability solutions this year, make it this episode from Katie Patrick 💪🌟
So many people seem to consider it a binary argument between systems change and individual action/beha…https://t.co/uytbz0LOof https://t.co/56oG5kh2Kc
The term "ESG" has completely taken over the world to mean all things corporate sustainability.
I'm not a huge fan of this development.
Here's why...

Occasionally, I come across a book that is so good, that I know I'll re-read it multiple times. The Art of The Impossible (@steven_kotler) is one such book. One of the best books on purpose, flow, and goal achievement I've ever read. Thanks for the recommendation,
@Community2_0 !
“Whomever controls the resources controls the world.”
An ominous but worthwhile read. Yet another sign that we should be throwing everything at reducing our dependence on fossil fuels, so that we can reduce our dependence on Russia.

“We know that electrification of everything is the vaccine for climate change, and we are going to develop that vaccine at Warp Speed, just as the Americans did with Covid.”
Some great thoughts in this sadly undelivered speech. Like @MeriFatin, it’s one I’d like to hear!
Love this quote from @hayleyleibson 🌟
“Passion is about finding yourself. It is about following our interests.
Purpose is about losing yourself— in something bigger than you. It is the legacy you are going to leave behind.”
Americans alarmed about climate change are now the largest group in the @YaleClimateComm's Six Americas. And they should be: in fact, everyone should be alarmed. Why? Because the planet will be orbiting the sun long after we're gone. The question is, will we?
A few months ago, I jotted down a quote from a podcast that resonated with me - but can’t remember who said it. Anyone here happen to know? 🤔
“Principles might have a cost, but are always a bargain in the end.”
Here's an idea: why don't we replace all junk food & materialistic advertising, with messages that people *actually* need to see/be reminded of? Like displays of real-time community emissions and energy feedback loops?🤔
Love this concept from @EnergyLollipop 🌈
Did you know the CO2 put out by CA's grid changes dramatically every minute? Install the Energy Lollipop Chrome/Firefox extension to see it (in real-time) peak at dinner & drop when the sun is out🌤️. It's fun😊🌈🌎

A good read for those trying to find the right balance of urgency + agency in their climate messaging.
I also liked the part about moving away from such binary distinctions between individual Vs systemic change 🙌

Having spent many months researching & living this topic, I thought I'd summarise some of the key insights I've gleaned...
And why we believe that now is the perfect time for businesses to take deeper action on #sustainability through engaging employees🌱
