Lovely time at the Runcorn Craft Fair, sold pieces that surprised me, as I didn't think they would be popular. Thanks to @Kcartisan for making it possible.
@shotscope please let me know why I can't get a new strap for my husband's V3 golf watch? It was bought less than 2 years ago so can't see why they are impossible to find!
When it occurs to you that, our brains have to be bigger on the inside, to keep the of the amount of stuff we store in there! So with that notion, are we all carrying around a Tardis in our heads?
Good question.. what is happening? I have a to do list that I don't want to do, every time I sit on the sofa, I fall asleep, I want to part ex my car but I don't know if getting the repairs done first will be worth it... any tips on getting my act together?
Am I going to miss friends I've made? Yes of course, but there comes a time when your own mental health, however good it is at the moment, has to be your priority
Sometimes, the universe will tell you something you don't want to hear. You can try ignoring it at your peril. Yes, I hear you, you don't have to do anything more to prove I should retire. I will, soon. Just need to tie up loose ends ok??
Another thing I teach some of them is how to actually hold a conversation with someone.. I often want to scream "USE YOUR WORDS!" Thanks for that anti-social media.
Just occurred to me, I spent a lot of my day showing 19 - 30 year olds how to use their computer.. me.... 65 year old me... ok not all young people can use a computer, despite what they think.. but not all old people are technophobes!!
Just want to say, to whoever needs it, every day you are alive is a precious gift, even bad days will lead to good days. The universe wants you here. You are important in ways you can't fathom. Hang in there. I'm no one, but I want you here too.
It had to happen eventually. My first annual leave this year. I have no idea what to do with it, so went to the hairdressers. I can now look good lounging on the sofa!
The second I take my headset off, Bob brings me a ball. If my mobile rings, he dances from paw to paw and barks for me to throw the ball. However if I put my headset back on... he goes and lays down. I've taken to wearing a headset far more than I need to.
Nasty customer shouted at one of my team "Well all you do is answer phones all day, you're clearly good for nothing else" The response of "And yet I'm the one with no debt" Isn't the best response to calm them. Ever had to tell someone off while fighting not to high five them??
Tell yourself you're looking forward to the day ahead, that you'll meet all the challenges you'll face. That you'll make an effort to be friendly and helpful. That you are grateful for what you get out of this job. Fake it every day... until you make it your bitch!
If you staying in a job you hate, ask yourself why. If the reasoning is sound, maybe you're learning new skills, or the money is good, whatever. Think about changing your attitude then. If you bitch about it every day, you will come to hate it even more.
