For those assuming the youth, Gen Z-looking Maldivian women defending #EagleHills on @X are real people, or a group of youth think again.
These accounts use AI generated Dhivehi looking profile and cover photos, and all were created in August 2025.
These r not real people.

expatriates popping up on every corner are getting out of hand.. Not only are they major eyesores with awful, cluttered designs, but the hygiene standards are practically nonexistent..
MP Saleem, it’s not that we don’t know. It’s that you think we don’t know.
You’ve very cunningly broken down MPs’ health insurance benefits into monthly figures, telling the public that MPs receive “ONLY MVR 2,000 per month,” hoping the smaller figure would make the privilege seem insignificant.
But is MVR 2,000 really that small?
Let’s apply the same monthly calculation to ordinary Maldivians.
2026 figures:
- Maldivian population: 382,639
- Asandha budget: 2.022 billion
- NSPA budget: 3.40 billion
Monthly allocation per Maldivian:
Asandha: 440/-
NSPA: 740/-
And according to you, MPs and their families receive 2,000 per person per month. That is 4.5 TIMES the average monthly Asandha allocation per Maldivian!
You call it “ONLY MVR 2,000” because you want people to believe it’s a small amount.
But when we apply your own method of calculation to ordinary citizens, the inequality becomes impossible to hide.
MP Saleem, the problem isn’t that Maldivians cannot understand the numbers. The problem is that you think we cannot.
Since my last tweet, the dedicated prayer area at the Sports complex is now a makeshift area located on the corridor, barricaded with discarded sign boards and whatnot. It got worse. 🥲
