@ZachAbolverdi Nice reference. I wonder how many people associated this picture with Spurrier alternating Johnson and Brindise at QB during the ‘97 season.
@CoGatorKing@GatorsMBK He was involved in NCAA violations. From memory (not research) payments from an agent, child support money that involved Norm Sloan helping him & something with a BB camp. All his records were removed from UF basketball stats. It would all be allowed now.
@BChainCane Except that Gainesville is not in a big market area. Jacksonville is the closest big city and it’s an hour drive. It does have an airport serviced by Delta & Am and plenty of hotels but that many people for two nights is impressive.
@Kay_La998@Fl_Victorious He actually walked better in the video than I’ve seen him walk in his restaurant. I read where he is doing special treatments at Duke for arthritis. It hurts me every time I see him walk.
@LouisvilleKYDad@Fl_Victorious He’s actually walking better than I’ve seen him walk in his restaurant in the past. I’ve seen him where he had to balance from table to table. I read where he is in a new arthritis program at Duke to try to improve his condition.
@noahname69@Legacy411@Thevictoria76 Most of the shows for kids in the 1950’s would not appeal to later generations. TV was very new. The technology and camera techniques were lacking—as well as the scripts. Boomers were enamored with having “kids” shows. I still find myself using the term “peanut gallery”.
@TacoLol91270@iChetbox@khnh80044 He did bleach his skin because vitiligo occurs in disfiguring patches. The choices are to cover the patches with makeup or to bleach the remaining pigmented skin. There are pictures of him with his makeup coming off with sweat , so he chose to bleach his remaining color.
@JordanKing43071@iChetbox@khnh80044 It’s not sudden. The autoimmune system attacks the pigment—but in patches. The hands, around the mouth & eyes, ears, etc. It’s disfiguring! Bleaching the remaining color is a solution. With no pigment, the sun is dangerous . I was fair skinned before vitiligo but I understand.
@iChetbox@khnh80044 I have vitiligo. I am white but I was embarrassed by the pure white spots that started on the back of my hand (glove?) that soon became spots on my arms, legs and face. Imagine being a black entertainer facing this —Bleach the remaining dark skin or cover the white with makeup?
@mmac_42@TheBustaB@ZachAbolverdi@GatorsOnline Thank you, I wanted to say the same thing. I went to every home game, traveled to two early tournaments and was in Tampa for both games. This “we” thinks Todd has a huge future with the Gators & is happy to have him.
@Tyrie_1 Upset with Todd Golden? Research Donovan’s time at UF. He took us to the Championship game in 3 years. After that, we had good years, SEC Champ years, trips to the tournament but we under-performed & were out early. Then came Back to Back NC’s. Trust the process
@gator_bret@JonathanSafir@GatorsMBK@FloridaGators@Fl_Victorious Golden is young and won a Natty last year. I’d say that the outcome of this season will leave him with a little more maturity. Love Golden but this time Iowa coach’s game maturity beat Golden’s analytics.
@Mutnodjmet@HumanityChad They have these baby races every season at basketball games. Speed isn’t the key. Most crawl for a few feet & sit, looking at the crowd & other babies. The winner is the one who finally decides to crawl to the parent. It’s usually one or two crawlers with the rest still sitting.
@SoundPyrex @GeneralSumrall @GatorsWBK@WellsFargo We don’t live in Gainesville. We can’t give the women’s team the same kind of “butts in the seat” support we give the men’s. We have talked to many who give both attendance & money. They agree, we are undersupported & Kelly does an amazing job with what she gets for her players.
@GeneralSumrall @GatorsWBK@WellsFargo Excellent article on the Women’s BB program in the Gainesville Sun today. They are under-resourced. We don’t even give them the suggested allotment of money!!!!!
@SoundPyrex @GeneralSumrall @GatorsWBK@WellsFargo They need money! The Women’s BB program is under-supported. The UAA needs to fund them. They can’t build a program in the SEC without money.
@Babsinthewild@GatorsWBK@WellsFargo I admit that I am not a good judge of coaches but Kelly has done an amazing job of getting 3 McDonald’s All Americans to the Gators with substandard resources. We spend less on our women’s BB program than any other non-private SEC school. The program & NIL needs some money!!!!!!!
