I went to the Senate floor today to ask a simple question.
Can any of my Republican colleagues defend the President's disgusting new scheme to sell early access to White House announcements about the war for $100,000 a month?
Of course they can't.
Conservative radio host Erick Erickson on Senator Jon Ossoff: You talk to farmers in South Georgia, they can get him on the phone. They can get his staff on the phone. They can get help. You talk to Republicans in Houston County, very Republican part of the state, they know they can reach out to Ossoff, and he doesn't care that they're Republican. If they need something, he's going to get it done.
The corruption is stunning. This deal "shields all the Trumps and their businesses not only from enforcement of any taxes they may have dodged, or enforcement of any fines or payments they may owe to the government, but from ‘any and all’ consequences for violating any federal criminal or civil law." And @JohnCornyn and @SenThomTillis are ok with this.

This is such complete and utter bullshit on the part of @SenThomTillis and @JohnCornyn. Giving the Trump crime family immunity from tax audits remains as corrupt as anything we’ve ever seen in this country.
@DAGToddBlanche should be impeached, not confirmed.
@SenThomTillis@JohnCornyn Countless North Carolina women had high hopes that you would stand fast. Blanche is NOT fit to serve as the USAG and this will go as well as the Hegseth confirmation. So disappointed that you’re caving. Again.
One month ago today: U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro claims she has “tremendous evidence” against David Hearn for vandalizing the Reflecting Pool.
She lied. Secretary Burgum lied. White House staff lied. Trump lied.
There will be no consequences.
The chilling thing about the Trump administration falsely accusing David Hearn is what it reveals: they have no hesitation targeting ordinary American citizens when it serves their agenda. It’s the same playbook they used with Alex Pretti, Renee Good, and countless others. The pattern is unmistakable. When the truth becomes inconvenient, they pick a citizen, invent a villain, and count on the wreckage to advance their interests. This is an administration willing to inflict real harm on ordinary people to protect its own power.
Trump: “I disagree 100% with Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, on the Reflecting Pool. I don’t know what she was thinking? To me, it was a pure case of VANDALISM, that included the grass, which had a big 86 47 emblazoned in giant letters on it, and other elements of the surrounding area. There may have been some contractor difficulty, but the major damage was caused by VANDALS! President DJT”
It’s one thing to lie on Fox. It’s another thing to use the power of the federal government to present false evidence to a grand jury to indict an innocent man for a federal crime. Only in this sick, twisted cesspool regime can this person continue to serve as a US Attorney.
