No, non-union actors *would not* be fired. More details in quoted thread, but basically:

1. NU actors can work on U video games.
2. Reddit is not a reliable source of info on the inner workings of video game contractual proceedings

@pars_the_parsy @ashethegreat An employer can request a waiver of terms that don’t work for their project & that includes asking for something like a non-standard joining timeline for non union cast members. it has to be approved, but custom agreements are not uncommon!
