Harassment didn’t invert the sallyport video.

Harassment didn’t cause the prosecution to present that inverted video to the jury without initially making clear that left and right were reversed.

Harassment didn’t make Kelly Dever tell federal investigators that Higgins and Berkowitz were in the sally port for a “wildly long time”—and harassment didn’t make that statement disappear when she later retracted that recollection on the stand.

Harassment didn’t create the contradictions, investigative failures, or reasonable doubt in this case.

Condemn harassment where it occurred. Absolutely.

But using “harassment” as a catch-all explanation for Karen Read’s acquittal is a convenient way to avoid confronting the evidence that 12 jurors actually had to evaluate.

The harassment narrative didn’t acquit Karen Read. The Commonwealth’s evidence failed to convict her.
