Well that’s a new one. TriCamm conference was rudely interrupted by the fire alarm. We proceeded to continue outside with the presentation of poster awards.
Excited that I will be hiring a postdoc into my group to develop and analyze a new class of lattice materials! Expertise in one or more of the following is desirable: stochastic processes and analysis, spatial-averaging techniques, and network analysis.

I shed many tears while typing up these heart-wrenching text messages sent and received by UNC students yesterday. Our campus was on lockdown for more than three hours.
Beyond proud of this cover and the team behind it.

Our graduate students getting themselves prepared for something other than academia!!!! (that's a good thing, this is a viable option too) Alumni Panel Series Offers a Glimpse into Life as an Early-Career Mathematician https://t.co/F5PM5n0dHX
Look what machine learning is doing for organ transplantation! We are bronze medal visionaries. Better Matching. Better Outcomes. UNC Researchers Create New Platform to Improve Organ Transplantation https://t.co/gwok3Bs7sZ
UNC Chapel Hill libraries have been required to cut their budget. It seems counter to the research mission of the university when services like Web of Science are no longer available in addition to many journals. I’m beyond frustrated.
Check out our recent work on a self-avoidant particle model! We find these model particles can self-trap, unexpected!! Phys. Rev. E 105, 024609 (2022) - https://t.co/PrIWhYa3MJ
Listened to @99piorg podcast about the rise and fall of alphabetical order. Realized that this used to be my life, alphabetizing exams and gradebook but no more - between gradescope and auto upload of course grades I realized this is true - alphabetizing is dying.
