@ChomiloMD you might hear that from people, but i don’t think it necessarily means you’ve failed. maybe they are figuring out their action. Maybe they already know and don’t want to come off as a humble-bragger or performative. Maybe it’s what they think they’re supposed to say. 🤷🏼♀️
White supremacy is not an “extremist ideology” in America. It is the mainstream ideology today just as it was at the height of the slave trade & Jim Crow-era segregation. If it were truly extreme, it wouldn’t be so pervasive as to be at issue in every institution & policy.
Listening to all these white guy law enforcement officials spew the “yeah yeah a guy died and a community is traumatized but ... business!” narrative reminds me how MN has a special brand of white supremacy /1
