Athletics rush up a lefty prospect to start vs the Mariners, so they can face Refs and Robles. And the Vegas line swung like 40 cents towards the As, as it always does for opposing teams when the Mariners lefty lineup comes out.
@GeoffBakerNHL Other than the Mariners after 2022, have you ever seen a franchise squander so much good will and excitement in such a short amount of time?
@PuckSports Team is a trash organization, on and off the ice. The horror stories and discontent among STHs is legion. They squandered a golden opportunity and will be absolutely irrelevant in a year or two (already are, to a great degree) and it serves them right.
@EmeraldCityHky For a combined salary of 4 million this season. Meanwhile, the Krak are paying Montour, Stephenson and Beniers a combined 21 million this season to score 49 goals.
@DavyJonesLR@933KJR They're not going to tear it all down and commit to a long term rebuild heading into Year 5 when they have the next (2nd) wave of STH contracts coming up for renewal after next season.
Lol everyone does realize that the NHL changed their expansion rules to make them more favorable for expansion teams just prior to Vegas, so Vegas is literally the only expansion team you can compare them to.
Francis had a horrid expansion draft with a few exceptions (widely panned at the time), blew our early FA window and money on one of the worst goalies in the league, and now has issued horrendous long term contracts to two mediocre, aging veterans - albeit likely under pressure from ownership, etc.
