*They don't make them like they used to — and it's true.*
My uncle's 1980s Hilux still starts every morning. No screens, no sensors. Just pure steel. You can fix it with a spanner.
A new car? Faster, smarter, safer — yes. But one failed sensor and it won't move. One small scratch and it costs thousands to fix because of all the cameras and tech.
Why?
*1. Profit:* If a car lasts 40 years, you buy one. If it lasts 7, you buy five.
*2. Complexity:* We traded strong & simple for smart & delicate.
Old products were made to be REPAIRED. New products are made to be REPLACED.
We shouldn't just ask "how smart is it?" We should ask "how long will it last?"
A good product isn't one you buy again and again. It's one you buy once.
