HSE is seeking to limit the scope of the inquest into deaths of McGinley children, TD alleges in Dáil - Senan Molony
Mr [Paul] Gogarty said he fully respected the independence of the Coroner’s Court, “but when the HSE asks for a limited scope, that request carries weight.
But he added: “The legislation doesn't prevent the coroner from establishing plain facts, including whether protocols were followed, whether procedures failed or whether systemic systemic gaps existed.”
Such factual findings would be essential “if we’re serious about preventing more such tragedies”, Mr Gogarty said.
Tonight the HSE said in response that it was represented at coroner’s inquests by agreement by the State Claims Agency.
“The HSE provides evidence and witnesses and we co-operate fully at all times with the coroner,” it added.

Today’s Irish Independent.
From the documents released for Conor, Darragh and Carla’s Inquests I can see everything for the first time.
Six years after their murders !!!
@Independent_ie
Andrew McGinley is calling for a change to the law that would allow partners to be involved in mental health care when children are involved.
Nearly six years after his three children were killed by their mother, he is also urging the coroner to widen the scope of the inquest.
A valuable flute went missing yesterday from the owner's bike on the way to a lunchtime session in Cassidy's in Camden St. It has huge sentimental value and a reward has been offered.
If anyone sees it, please send a DM.
RTs appreciated.
There would have been great excitement from Conor, Darragh and Carla to see a big article about Auntie Shell in the Irish Examiner
Vote Auntie Shell number 1 in 2032 😃

After 2 hours of legal debate at my children’s inquests, a thought struck me.
Shouldn’t we all work collaboratively to learn and focus on preventing further tragedies? All matters raised and all reviewed.
Sadly, after today, I feel Conor, Darragh & Carla will not be the last 💔
We’ve a lot to be angry about in Ireland.
However, if you want to be really angry then have a read of the OCO’s Child Death Review.
If you want to be infuriated, seething and outraged then imagine yourself in my shoes and then read it.
Link to the report in the OCO post.
