On Saturday, some of my @unibirmingham friends and I walked up Pen y Fal/Sugar Loaf.

We weaved our way through the rolling Monmouthshire countryside, beneath gnarled veteran trees, surrounded by soaring Red Kites.

Still feeling it in my legs and feet but what a magical day!

Delighted to see that the Barbican Wildlife Group, and the plant rescue nursery of their gardener Nic, both won an 'Outstanding' award from @LondonInBloomUK last week.

I'm very proud to be the BWG's ambassador, and a massive congratulations to both!

On Friday I was very pleased to meet with my MP, and shadow housing minister, @DSimmonds_RNP.

We discussed local wildlife, community engagement and integrating nature into new developments.

The constituency has many wonderful habitats, which we should continue to celebrate!

Had a wonderful time at the Wild Summit in Bristol yesterday.

It was a brilliant chance to see friends and colleagues, catch up on nature policy, and discuss climate and nature resilience across the nature sector.

Caught up with the fantastic @birdbrainuk this morning at Walthamstow Wetlands.

This morning a Pied Flycatcher was found at the reserve, which has been my 'bogey bird' for years. To my surprise we actually saw it!! (photo below, please believe me!).
