Two young lives nearly lost. Zero accountability. Taxpayers are DONE waiting.
Residents of #Undri, #NIBMAnnex, #Mohammadwadi, and #Pisoli are no longer whispering — they are DEMANDING answers.
After nearly two decades of paying taxes faithfully to the @PMCPune thousands of residents have received exactly this in return: broken roads, no drinking water, missing streetlights, rampant encroachments, and zero civic dignity.
And now — two recent fatal accidents involving young school and college students and many more in the past have pushed an already furious community past its breaking point.
📌 THE GROUND REALITY — 2026
🔴 No reliable drinking water — families in one of Pune's fastest-growing corridors still struggle for a basic human right
🔴 Roads in shambles — potholes and broken stretches that have claimed young lives
🔴 Streetlights missing — darkness that breeds danger for students walking home
🔴 Rampant encroachments — public spaces swallowed while authorities look away
🔴 Zero parks or sports grounds — children with nowhere safe to play

📌 THE FACTS PMC CANNOT IGNORE
Mohammadwadi has been under PMC limits for nearly 25 years
Undri has been under PMC limits for over 8 years
Residents have been tax-compliant throughout
Infrastructure delivered in return? Nearly nothing.

📌 FROM SILENCE TO THE STREETS
What began as frustration has now become open, vocal, collective outrage.
Residents took to the streets in a Candle March and Silent Protest — mourning not just the two young accident victims, but 18+ years of institutional indifference.
Parents are scared. Students are at risk. Families are exhausted. And the community's message is now crystal clear:

"We pay your taxes. We demand our rights. Not tomorrow. NOW."

Strict Action Against Open Dumping at Viman Nagar.

This morning, during an enforcement and awareness drive at Nicco Garden, Viman Nagar, unauthorized dumping of mixed waste by local vendors was observed.

Taking immediate cognizance, Dr. Sadhana (AMO, PMC) and the Sanitary Inspector (SI) imposed penalties on the concerned vendors for non-compliance. 📝💸

The violators were strictly instructed to stop open dumping immediately. They have been directed to practice 100% waste segregation and hand over their waste exclusively to the PMC door-to-door collection vehicles.

Compliance is not optional; it is a duty.
