Scientists have discovered AI data centers are even worse for the environment than we thought.
Big data centers create "heat islands" that raise local surface temperatures an average of 3.6°F, enough to potentially devastate local wildlife and water supply.

On the left bank - riparian ecology, habitat for birds, pollinators, small fauna. Nature's services like carbon sequestration, lower temperature, natural cleaning of river.
On the right bank - CONCRETE!
Higher temperature, no shade, and in future a Chowpatty with amusement parks and food stalls.
The river in between remains a filthy gutter
And to think some people are showcasing the right bank with pride! 🙄
I genuinely believe that we shifted into an alternate reality after 2019. Time is different, people have changed, and things don’t feel the same. We now live in an eerie post-apocalyptic emotionless society reminiscent of black mirror. Call me crazy but I believe this.
Indian prime minister @narendramodi is visiting Ethiopia
A decade ago
Modi promised to build 100 smart cities in India
I hope he feels ashamed when he sees the capital city of Ethiopia and compares it to delhi and most other cities of India in terms of air quality, cleanliness, traffic, and even basic public infrastructure is
Ethiopia has a GDP per capita almost 1/3rd of India
Fact that India has become one of the largest economies in the world and yet it cannot provide even a basic urban experience to its citizens is something that should outage the people of India
Similar for Ahemdabad Asarva Station, only a single FOB between platforms. Imagine the whole train (last stop) offloaded and only 1 bridge to cross platform and exit station. Had to wait for 30 mins till the rush overs.
Today in Gems of Infrastructure…
Picture 1 is Platform 01.
Picture 2 is Platform 02.
This is Jawai Bandh Station in Rajasthan, where a lot of tourists (local and foreign) get down in order to head to the Jawai Safari and spot leopards.
In order to go from platform 1 to 2, you have to travel through a 3-floored zig zag maze with your luggage and then get down through this long pathway on platform 2. Good luck if you have to then head in the opposite direction (after walking all this way in one direction). And yes, that’s the only exit.
Crores of rupees were approved and spent to construct this. And now no one uses it. Even women and the elderly (with children) cross tracks with heavy luggage, risking their life - than go through this.
The joke in town is that everyone is searching for that engineer who approved and executed this design.
But all hope is not lost, as another few crores have been sanctioned; and a lift will now be constructed to compensate for this mess. 🤡
Loot of public money in a poor country should be a criminal offence.
@ashish_jadhao As the slope is steep after Katraj tunnel, no speed breakers or rubbles are gonna work in case of break failure. Create 2 Runaway ramps for such emergencies. One before Jambhulwadi lake and one near Narhe.

Income tax slabs shouldn't be for individual, it should be for a family.
Someone earning 60L per year having 4 dependent on them should not be paying more tax than a family of 4 earning 25L individually.
Mostly the individual earner are from poor background, for the first time someone from their family is earning good money, they should not be taxed more than rich families. The tax system is flawed at so many levels.
@mieknathshinde Try focusing on public transportation rather than costly options like tunnels for car. Dedicated metro lines like in Delhi could be more useful and cost efficient.
