Additionally, it can be seen as an entry point to game dev since You can learn so much as a QA and after some time, experience and specialization You can try to get into other departments. It is all a subject of what do You want to do next in Your career!
I don't think calling any position in gaming "the worst" is appropriate, everyone is working towards the same goal whether it be programmers, designers or QA.
For me being QA is fun and I absolutely love what I do and I can see how my work affects the end product.
What's the worst job in gaming? It's "playtester". I know you're thinking that being a tester must be the dream job. Get paid to play games all day? Woohoo!
It's not like that. Here are six reasons why not to be a tester.
Reason One - you are the lowest tier. You're not part of any team, but just an adjunct, temporarily added to the team. You're not an artist, a coder, a designer, or a producer. Everyone knows anyone could do your job, so you're regarded as about on a par with a day laborer.

Of course, not everyone may like this area of work, because yes it can be repetitive, yes You may do some weird or unusual tasks over and over, but at the end of the day it all matters so that most of the areas of the game can be covered and more or less without issues.
