Nobody can now pretend that China isn’t our enemy. The revelations in The @Telegraph that China is accused of secretly funding pro-Palestine demonstrations in Britain – channelling funds to far-Left activist groups to sow chaos on our streets – should send a chill down the spine of every minister in Whitehall. https://t.co/yTjOGdBngy
The reality is that to protect ourselves the Government must be honest. We are at war but hamstrung in dealing with the threat. The reality is that we must now place China in the upper tier of FIRS (the foreign influence registration scheme) and in so doing define China as a threat which is what our Security Services want and need
ATTN AUSSIE CHRISTIANS...
Please fill out the census so we can let the data prove Australia is a Christian country built on Christian values, and we want it to stay that way!
This is important. It will help us campaign in the future.
“Stupidity of the highest order”?
Treasury can’t get the maths right in its own official #CGT worked example, an $88,000 error that had to be exposed by outside professionals and journalists. Great work @Johnkehoe23@FinancialReview
Corrected now, unfortunately the real story is the same: rushed, ideologically driven, needlessly complex tax law that its authors can’t apply correctly.
When the people designing the world’s highest capital gains tax can’t follow their own rules, the problem isn’t the taxpayer.
We must all join together and keep fighting against this insane new #CGT that @AlboMP & @JEChalmers are applying to all Australian businesses. #StoptheCGT #JoinWARonCGT

Even a kid with a small share portfolio and no income gets hit at 30% under this reform. That's not "the rich" paying their share, that's a poverty trap for anyone starting out @AlboMP & @JEChalmers. Wake up. This was never about fairness. #StoptheCGT #JoinWARonCGT
The war on @AlboMP & @JEChalmers ’s new insane #CGT is just beginning. #StoptheCGT

“We need to remind MPs so they don’t assume these changes are accepted.” What are your thoughts?
Parliament returns next week. One final opportunity for all Australians to make sure their local Federal MP understands how these changes hit productive investment, families, the young, retirees and businesses.

This is deeply concerning. Treasury published an $88,000 error in its own capital-gains-tax example and it reportedly took outside tax professionals and Financial Review journalists to expose it. Treasury has since admitted the mistake and said the document will be corrected. These are the same people helping design increasingly complex tax laws that Australians, accountants and businesses will be legally required to follow.
When even Treasury cannot correctly apply the rules in its own worked example, perhaps the problem is not the taxpayer, the problem is rushed, needlessly complicated legislation. Australia needs simpler taxation, proper consultation and a government that values competence over ideological tax grabs.
