Just read a news article that praised the “colorblind” casting of Disney’s 1997 #Cinderella with Brandy. That was not colorblind casting that was colorful casting that was intentional. Being intentionally colorful is how you embrace #DiversityAndInclusion and how we #EraseTheHate
Today I had the honor to escorting my 104.5 year-old friend Ruth to vote.
She was born before women had the right to vote.
Her 1st vote was for FDR.
Her dad died of the flu during the pandemic of 1918, when she was 2.
This is her voting story today.
“How are you holding up?” This has become my pandemic refrain, the way I begin my virtual visits. These days, the world is especially heavy. As a primary care doctor seeing patients with a range of lived experiences, I cannot know, until I ask, the burdens they carry. #COVID19

4yo son: Because he’d have so much fun.

So much energy in the room as we taught preschoolers all about:

😁Tooth brushing
🏃🏻♂️Exercise
👩🏽⚕️ Not being afraid of the doctor/PA
They taught us that even small humans understand the idea of herd immunity!
