Every #DDay I come back to Harry Billinge ❤️
If you’re tempted to moan about something meaningless or complain today… watch Harry and think about what he, and many others, went through for the freedoms we all too often take for granted.
There aren’t many of those heroes left but they have so much to teach us.
We’ll be playing music to commemorate the anniversary throughout the day on @ClassicFM
#DDay80 #LestWeForget
Four weeks in, tired, but buzzing! Highlights were appointing our new Head Students, interviews for Deputy SENDCO, and today a visit from brilliant author @simonjamesgreen! 🏳️🌈 I got to be a fanboy, and he did some great workshops with our students. #wearewoodbridge
@MrEva1011 Spoiler Alert! Four years after Mark's death as Bridget emerges from the first raw shock of grief to engage with the dating scene again. How different that scene looks now: when she was last single there was no Twitter, sexting or online dating & a cougar was just a big cat!
@phoenixgrouphq We have invited each student and their parent(s) to come in tomorrow for 30 minute sessions in order to: reacquaint themselves with the environment/classroom/us, to talk about what the upcoming term looks like and to address any questions or concerns before they start on Thursday
@cea_forster I always went with 'Aunt' or 'Auntie' (a) it's what I grew up doing, (b) it's what all cyp in my family/friends' families do, and (c) being an aunt (by marriage) explained any disparities in skin colour, culture, accents - less awkward for cyp in front of their mates
@RetirementTales Loved being milk monitor but hated the milk: lukewarm in summer, chunks of ice particles in the winter. '76 was awesome though - milk kept curdling in the heat so we had ice poles instead for that summer term.
