Bridging Local Action and Global Accountability: African Youth in Adaptation Leadership 🌍
Last week, members of the Climate Justice Impact Fund for Africa (CJIFA) convened a virtual discussion on Africa’s role in the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA) Indicator Framework.
Moderated by James Kanyi, the session brought together young climate leaders including Eddah Kipyegon, Gedyon Mergesa, Anna Shampi, and Hope Mandala — all actively driving solutions that connect local realities with global adaptation frameworks.
Presentations featured grassroots innovations such as community-led resilience models from India, youth advocacy initiatives, and climate-smart agribusiness ventures from across Africa — reinforcing the shared commitment to adaptation justice and equitable climate action.
PACJA remains proud to support platforms that nurture youth-driven, community-informed adaptation strategies shaping Africa’s contribution to global climate goals. 💚
