#tollgvms Mr. Freeman is explained as being sane, and although being a strange teacher he speaks out against the authorities as well, which is in contrast to Melinda who doesn't like being out in the open. She unintentionally makes art , but Mr. Freeman does it on purpose instead
#tollgvms They definitely could have handled it better. When they saw her wrist with blood marks on it, they scolded her and told her that it isn't real or worth it instead of consoling her and trying to help her with whatever is stressing her or mental illness.
I believe that they should involve their children with issues like this. I would say this because the teens and kids should know or have some sort of prior knowledge with what they may deal with in the future, and possibly strengthen the bonds between family. #tollgvms
Maya Angelou was most likely added to block the mirror because she, like Melinda, was raped at a young age and was not able to speak for years. It can act as inspiration to speak because she became successful and happier after she made the books. #tollgvms
@ShaylaPFSUSD Include more on what other people think and what others would do if they found out/ add more perspectives. I really liked how you put more about Melinda's thoughts and why she chose her actions.
@parisa_samadi Explain why she is feeling lonely and use evidence from the book. I like that lyric though and it definitely works with what Melinda is going through.
@maggycfsusd I agree with how people can be self centered, especially in this school, so nice job on finding that. Try to show more of Melinda taking part in them missing out because of her actions.
@miaaj32 Good job on Rachel's part and showing why she is striving to be popular. Add more on Melinda's reason why they could have stopped being friends.
