During the 13th century Pope Gregory IX insisted that black cats were associated with Devil worship & had them a lot of them exterminated all over Europe. This let the rat population to increase greatly, which helped the bubonic plague spread a few decades later

The worlds oldest wine bottle is called The Speyer, dates back from 325 A.D to 350 A.D. The bottle has remained unopened and currently resides in the Pfalz Historical Museum collection in the German City of Speyer.

In 1386, a pig was executed in France.
In Falaise, France, a pig attacked a child’s face who went on to later die from their wounds. The pig was arrested, incarcerated, & sent to court where it stood trial for murder, was found guilty, and executed by hanging!
...even execute people using large blades fitted to their tusks.
In some parts of Asia this method of execution was still popular up to the late 19th century.

In Ancient Asia, death by elephant was a popular form of execution. Elephants are very intelligent and they were easy enough to train as executioners and torturers. They could be taught to slowly break bones, crush skulls, twist off limbs, or...
They terrorized the waters around China. The Red Flag Fleet were such a fearsome band of raiders, that the Chinese government eventually pardoned Ching Shih and her entire fleet – just to get them off the high seas!
The worlds most successful pirate was a woman! Her name was Ching Shih. Under Shih’s leadership, the Red Flag Fleet consisted of over 300 warships, with a possible 1,200 more support ships. She even had a possible 40,000 – 80,000 men, women and children.

New York City’s Washington Square Park used to be a graveyard and its mainly for burying unknown or indigent people when they died. There over 20,000 people buried there.
