Incredibly honored to illustrate for @MkenWrites in this months Guost Parachute. “Yellow is the color of make-believe” is utterly charming! Please, pleae give it a read!
@MkenWrites@GhostParachute Matt, the moment I read your piece I was so drawn to and captivated by it. It’s funny, clever, the title alone I’m obsessed with, and the reveal, if I may call it that, is just perfect. I’m SO glad you like my artwork! It’s all due to your talent and words.
Please read the talented @amybookwhisper1 Amy Marques’s HISSING IN THE WIND! It was a joy to illustrate for her excellent flash fiction piece. Its a wonderful metaphorical story that breaks my heart; I feel the yearning of the narrator.
I know I’m a spoiled Orlando-kid because I’d be someone who’d probably instinctively quip “they’re everywhere”. It’s legitimately interesting to me that they’re not, in fact, “everywhere.”
Thinking about the last time I said I really want to try a Mold-A-Rama machine cause I've never seen one & a million people replied gaslighting me like "what they're EVERYWHERE," then linked a map showing there are like 12 in chicago 20 in orlando and 0 in the rest of the country
@cgsimone Oh man I think I have to follow this person you retweeted. That’s how I feel like I interpret movies now that I’m old and feeble (but am actually just in tune with the tropes, and they’re so welcome!).
I had an absolute wonderful time illustrating for “My Father Called Me Firework”. @courtney_clute is so talented, and the visuals I had all the while reading this story stay with me.
July: start using Twitter for good! Like supporting flash fiction writers and literary magazines such as Ghost Parachute. I illustrated for @nanopausa — The Storming of Rome. It was a joy to create this art because I get to revel in the story!
