@alisonleary1 I often think my life would be far easier going into ANP. The DN role is getting more complex every month. Patients are being discharged into DN care that used to be cared for in HDU step down. Responsibility for a caseload 100 pts then managing a team also! Best job though ❤️

@abi_carey Sad to read this. I have worked in many hospitals over the years and never witnessed this. Sounds more like a local problem which needs addressing. Please don’t tar all nurse with the same brush, we get how overwhelming a new post is and need to work together ❤️

@graceysea Hi grace. I’ve heard some areas in England the DN’s are 7’s. There is a band 7 district nurse post advertised at the moment in Leeds. Northern Ireland DN’s are band 7. Very variable throughout the UK which it’s absolutely shouldn’t be.
