When Clemens Westerhof came to Surulere stadium to scout for players, we were thousands, and he did an elimination process. They randomly selected you into a team based on your position and the scouts watched you. First day, I scored 11 goals and he asked me to come day 2.

Day 2, I scored about 8 or 9 goals and he asked me to come day 3. Each day thousands were eliminated.

School resumed and my parents asked me to go to school. I didn't make it to day 3. I was in secondary school then.

After secondary school, I played under former Nigeria's coach, Paul Hamilton. God, I hated fitness training. I wanted to die. But your football is only as good as your fitness. Anyway, he wanted to get me signed to a club in Egypt which was what he told me was his plan for me. UNIBEN admisison came out and I went to school.

In UNIBEN, I was in the first Law team that made it to VC cup finals - beating Engineering and Management Science. Yes, I scored against both. I still believed it was because I didn't start that we lost that final because for the first time, the line up changed. I went to submit my Law School form and the stupid Dean kept me waiting for 2 and half hours. Only for the idiot to come out and say he was going to watch the VC cup final and I should come next monday. Motherfvcker, I'm the one playing 11 for the Faculty. It is me you are going to watch. I arrived late and had to start from the bench. By the time I came on, we were down 3 - 0. Biggest regret of my entire UNIBEN journey.

NYSC, it took only one training session for my platoon to make me captain, and one inter-platoon match to be drafted into the Kebbi State's team.

But no worry, na only you play ball. Na for mouth we dey play our own.
