South Africa’s proposed digital ID system is being presented as voluntary and convenient.
But at @LexLibertasOnX, we believe citizens should be very concerned. Even though it is called voluntary today, systems like these tend to become compulsory in practice.
Once banks, employers, and government departments start requiring the digital version, your physical ID card becomes second-class. What starts as optional can quickly become mandatory.
This system also creates a central record of where you go and what you access — powerful surveillance infrastructure in the hands of a government that has repeatedly shown admiration for highly centralised authoritarian models.
That’s why Lex Libertas has made an official submission to the Department of Home Affairs.
We need to show, however, that our concern is not a lone voice. If you are concerned about government overreach and the steady erosion of freedom and privacy, we need you to act with us.

🚨 Another example of a Refugee family who arrived on the 12 May in Ohio and are treated badly by their resettlement agency.
They were forced to sign a years lease agreement and take over the utilities for their rental property within the next two weeks of arrival.
Up to now they have received zero cash assistance also......
The point I am making is that there seems to be no set policy in place that clearly states the refugee resettlement agencies duties and responsibilities.....and also timelines that should be followed.
With the amount of discrepancy from one agency to another one cannot only blame incompetence any longer. They are playing with people's lives.
Should any Refugee feel like they are not treated as per the requirements of what is known so far about the resettlement program please contact [email protected] for reporting and possible assistance.
🚨 When you see a problem say something. This could help the next family arriving.
It represents a clear conflict of interest for Church World Service (CWS) to simultaneously fight the Trump administration in court over the prioritization of persecuted Afrikaners in the U.S. refugee program, while holding federal contracts to facilitate exactly that work. @jenniestaer
Recent reporting from the Daily Wire highlights credible evidence of negligence: multiple Afrikaner families, fully vetted and approved for resettlement, had their flights abruptly canceled by CWS just days before departure. These families had already sold their belongings and uprooted their lives, only to be left stranded in limbo with little explanation.
The core question remains:
Who can take over these contracts?
They are doubling down. It's revenge and hatred @SecRubio@USEmbassySA@SpoxUSCIS@USCIS@USCISJoe. Please try speed up the vetting of Afrikaner applicants. Many of us have been waiting over 7 months since completing the process with no feedback, case says "Under Review" Repost for reach please.

So it appears as if the fuel price isn’t actually linked to the oil price but is merely another lever for specific individuals to make a lot of money on the back of narrative based panic.
Thus for no mathematical reason the fuel price will continue to rise ridiculously until the public either just accepts their new reality or until they start asking questions and refusing to abide by the con.
Then normality will return while the middle class has taken yet another massive hit to their wealth.
It’s quite incredible how this keeps happening and will continue to do so because the average person is both perpetually fascinated by the current thing and essentially unable to think outside of this one moment in time.
It’s so tiresome.
Can't unveil a new school, can't unveil a smart city or a bullet train as promised, but CAN unveil a whole fkn tap... That sums up 35 years of kak leadership for you...
@ErnstRoets All the politicians in South Africa who push their viciously racist laws should be sanctioned, barred from travel, declared criminals and have their international assets seized
South Africa’s history curriculum may be about to change, dramatically. The Minister of Basic Education, Siviwe Gwarube, has signed off on a draft new history curriculum that takes a starkly anti-Western and anti-capitalist approach to global events, narrows the minds of South Africa’s children, and seeks to cultivate the kind of militancy that threatens the future stability of the country.

Your Android phone’s storage is full.
You delete photos, videos, apps. It’s still full.
Because it’s not the visible files that are eating up your storage. Most of it is the HIDDEN junk that Android never tells you about.
I cleaned mine yesterday and got 23GB back without deleting a single photo.
Here’s how:
The South African government's war on the Afrikaners continues (this time being spearheaded by the DA-run Department of Education).
The DA is not your friend.
It's been 8 years since Cyril Ramaphosa promised lifestyle audits on his executive. We have gone through three administrations, and still not a single executive lifestyle audit result has been released. It speaks volumes...

80 unfortunate souls will be murdered today and 128 women will be raped. 26.5 million people are on social grants. Cities have no water. Do something about that in 2026 you bastards.
So tell me… why doesn’t @CyrilRamaphosa hold press conferences like Trump or even Malema? 🤔
Like proper, frequent, off scripted straight-to-the-point briefings where journalists can ask real questions and the country actually feels updated… not these once-in-a-while, scripted appearances 😭
Malema is basically runs monthly "episodes" and journalists are always glued
Trump does daily updates with journalists
But our president? You only see him when something BIG has already gone wrong
Is it strategy? Avoiding pressure? Or just a different leadership style?
Because right now it feels like the opposition communicates more with the public than the actual president
